Marsha Middleton is president and owner of M-Squared Public Relations. The company was formed in 2005 when Marsha recognized the strong need for an agency that understood the discerning needs of the real estate, luxury, and retail industries.
In her 14 years of public relations experience, Marsha has worked within the corporate, non-profit and hospitality industry, most recently as the director of public relations at Four Seasons Hotel Atlantathe city's only five-star, five-diamond hotel. In this role, she was responsible for positioning the hotel amongst media, marketing and partnership opportunities that attract new and repeat guests to the hotel and its four-star restaurant, Park 75.
Marsha’s media relations efforts have yielded national placements in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, New York Times and other local, regional and national media outlets.
After graduating cum laude with a degree in journalism from Florida A&M University, Marsha began her career as a public relations manager with Habitat for Humanity International. There, she was responsible for the promotion of world-wide projects such as the Jimmy Carter Work Project and Women Build, the first-ever building project led by the First Ladies of the United States.
After a number of rewarding years spent in the non-profit arena, Marsha made the switch to corporate America when she joined The Home Depot as their Southeast Public Relations Manager. There, she led the internal and external communication function for more than 200 stores and worked alongside the company’s real estate division during land acquisitions, contract negotiations and store openings. Additionally, she helped organize the company’s monumental 1,000th store celebration at the New York Stock Exchange.
Marsha has been active in the Public Relations Society of America's Georgia chapter, the Public Relations co-chair for Flavor of Atlanta-the city's second largest food and wine event for the Liver Foundation’s Georgia Chapter (2001-current); one of only six hand-selected members on Mayor’s (jewelry) Advisory Board (2005-current); Public Relations chair for the National Black Arts Festival’s annual Gala (2009); Public Relations Chair for Senior Citizen Services of Metropolitan Atlanta, Inc. annual 'A Meal to Remember' event (2009); Public Relations co-chair for March of Dimes AIR Awards (2008); Public Relations Chair, Boots and Blue Jeans to benefit the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit at Grady Health System (2008); a board member of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Jeffrey Fashion Cares host committee member (2008).
